Interlude 1: The Garden Of Song (2018)

‘The Garden of Song’ is comprised of five musical adaptations of poems found in a 1911 anthology of the same name, and one additional original song thrown in for good measure. Marrying the luscious poetic imagery of turn-of-the-century Romanticism with sonic textures heavily inspired by the British folk revival movement of the 60s and 70s, ‘The Garden of Song’ seeks to explore how these century-old words sung in a classic style can still hold such contemporary relevance.

Some of the demos/drafts/early mixes that I though held some musical/curiosity value of some kind, warts and all. They range from around August 2012, 2 years before the release of Vol. 1, to around March 2016, around the release of Vol. 2. Some songs have changed, some have stayed pretty much exactly the same.
